Our Annual Meeting and Luncheon featuring Sue McGinty, a local author, as our guest speaker, was held on May 7, 2015 at the Madonna Inn.  It was a great success with over 80 members and guests attending.  Our thanks to all who attended, to Sue for a wonderful talk and to Sally Hillis, Luncheon Chairperson, who, with the support of her committee and board members, planned and created the Luncheon.

Below are a few images taken during the luncheon as well as a video showing most of Sue McGinty’s talk.

February 22, 2015 by lannyca | Comments Off on Classical Performing Artist Presentation – Black History Month

On Saturday, February 21, 2015, Dr. Brian Asher Alhadeff, Artistic Director of OperaSLO, made a two hour multi-media presentation in the SLO Library community room.  In his presentation, he highlighted 5 contemporary black performing artists who have excelled in their field.  Part of his presentation was a live performance.

This video is a short synopsis of that presentation.  The presentation was organized by the SLO Library staff and supported by the SLO Friends of the Library.
